It is generally associated with Frank Sinatra, who recorded it on his 1964 album It Might as Well Be Swing accompanied by Count Basie under the direction of Quincy Jones. It was the last song Sinatra sang in public, on February 25, 1995, and the words "The Best is Yet to Come" are etched on Sinatra's tombstone. Fantastic
Mr.Savik
The author pushes the idea of capitalism as the end-all of economics and the guarantor of freedom. Yet, capitalists have a seedy history of profit and damn everything else. Why? The bottom line is king. Labor exists only to make a profit. Witness the sweat shops where women and children were worked daily 14 hours into poor health. Witness the destruction of the land around strip mines, the decimated forests and polluted air. These are all by-products of unbridled capitalism. Capitalism may be better than socialism and communism, but is it the best that can be? No, but it will evolve into something that will be better. The author could well have taken up the subject instead of claiming that capitalism is the end-all as is.

I have read many books written by people who seem to think the sky is falling. The news of the day would make one wonder. Reading this book is a REAL breath of fresh air! Dr. Asmus describes many social issues and gives several great suggestions to overcome many issues that we are currently struggling with as a country. I hope Republican leaders, business leaders, and education leaders are reading this book.
I believe Dr. Asmus is an optimistic economist, a caring conservative, and a true leader. A rare combination indeed.
Please... Dr. Asmus, Please... keep up the great work. I look forward to your next book.
