In case you're wondering; This book isn't a "survivalist" or woodsman's manual. Everything in it is meant to be used by a family at home. I grew up reading and using it. My dad and I used to make the honey mead all the time (which I use for sauces, marinades and deglazing; it works very well with chicken and pork).

There are dozens of ideas and instructionals; from how to make various drinks, how to build crystal radios, how to properly cut and season (that's drying, if you don't know) firewood; and even how to tan hides and make leather.

It's a handy little book to have; if you can find it, order it! It was only about $8.00 for me with shipping (though I was expecting -and would have quickly paid- $30.00 or more). And don't worry! If you're not into "old timey stuff"; there are plenty of ideas that even those with an ultra-modern lifestyle could make great use of.
