I’ve no theories about the why and wherefore of it. It’s just a thing-that happened ail that I never appreciated . . It’s just a thing-that happened ail that I never appreciated until so many years afterwards. If I had noticed it-well, I suppose the course of three lives would have been entirely altered. Somehow-that’s a very frightening thought. For the beginning of it all, I’ve got to go back to the summer of 1914-just before the war-when I went down to Badgeworthy with Neil Carslake

Miss Marple's Final Cases is a collection of nine Miss Marple short stories. Published posthumously, this collection was originally entitled, Miss Marple's 6 Final Cases and Two Other Stories. The book was called her Final Cases because it mostly contained the last short stories that Christie wrote that focused on her famed amateur detective, the elderly Miss Marple. However, two of the stories in this collection, The Dressmaker's Doll and In a Glass Darkly do not contain Miss Marple and are the "and Two Other Stories" listed in the original title.

Edward turned to Miss Marple. It's like this, you see. As Uncle Mathew grew older, he got more and more suspicious.

I should say we'd dug about two solid acres! The whole place is ready to be turned into a market garden. We're just discussing whether to grow vegetable marrows or potatoes. Edward turned to Miss Marple. He didn't trust anybody. Very wise of him," said Miss Marple. The depravity of human nature is unbelievable. Well, you may be right.

Miss Marple is so unobtrusive. So hidden in the background around other characters. You hardly know she's there. She's like your favorite spinster Auntie. You both are listening to the same clues, but you just can't figure out how she solved the murder before you did. I don't believe I have ever been able to solve a crime before the end of the book. Christie is a master of subterfuge. She can branch off in so many directions and make each one seem that that is the only solution to the murder and then blindsides you with a completely different ending.
This CD set was a series of Miss Marple's final cases. All read by different narrators, but each one was enjoyable. They kept me sitting in my car long after I had arrived at my destination. I still have several Christie books I haven't read yet.
All of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple stories are unforgettable; I already miss reading more murders solved by her while knitting peacefully..
They are all good, but I like one with Miss Marple the most
For fans of Joan Hickson's portrayal of Miss Marple, it will be lovely hearing her voice. Be forewarned however that the last two stories were read by someone else, presumably since Miss Hickson passed away.
Since Agatha Christie is one of my favourite authors, there is nothing I can say that will do her work justice!! She is amazing and also gives us an insight into the early 20th century Britain. She is a first class writer and keeps her readers engrossed, never fails to satisfy.
More fabulous Marple short stories.
Totally Agatha Christie. Always a great story
I love Agatha Christie's books - read and reread so many of them. Miss Marple is one of my very favorite characters - I enjoyed this book . . . again.
