The most common sources seem to be Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine and The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction. Some authors were unknown to me but many are the best known names of 1950s and 1960s SF. Some of the material is dated by being overtaken by reality. Asimov is widely considered a master of the science-fiction genre and, along with Robert A. Heinlein and Arthur C. Clarke, was considered one of the "Big Three" science-fiction writers during his lifetime.

Jeppson, was an American science fiction writer, psychiatrist, and psychoanalyst. She started writing children's science fiction in the 1970s. She was married to Isaac Asimov from 1973 until his death in 1992, and they collaborated on a number of science fiction books aimed at young readers, including the Norby series. She died in February 2019 at the age of 92.
