Elastic Skunk
Just too bland. This was recommended by a source that is usually pretty good, for use in Christian education for young children. Perhaps I was communicating my own opinion to the students (4 and 5 year olds) but they were bored with it.
Good book
My son loves Anne Rockwell books because they are simple to follow yet teach important concepts. He enjoys following along as I read. For reference, he is two years old.
This book is a great way to kick off spring! I read it to my class and talked about all of the plants in the book (crocus, forsythia bush, and more). They really enjoyed the story, and the pictures of the plants are similar to real life which makes it easier going outside and talking about the plants from the story.
a super special book for me that I have read to my daughters, god sons and my newest reader, my grandson!!!!
Here's another seasonal picture book from Anne Rockwell. Celebrate the arrival of spring and the appearance of the first robin with this little girl who notices all sorts of wonderful changes as the days grow warmer. This is an excellent transition book from the toddler friendly board books to a smaller sized picture book with regular pages. The simple text would also work well with beginning readers.

Book provided by publisher.
This is one of the cutest books that I have bought for my daughter. When she was 2 1/2 she memorized this book by heart and it was so cute to hear her say "forsythia bush". She is now 4 and it continues to be one of her favorites. We look forward to spring and now she can identify the plants on her own. Thanks for such a cute book!
Too simple, flat.
