The endorsement in 2004 of the 15 nursing-sensitive measures by NQF was an initial (albeit significant) step towards standardized measurement of nursing care; detailing its relationship to the quality (and efficiency) of health care. One important source of feedback on nursing care is the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI ), a repository for nursing-sensitive indicators and a program of the American Nurses Association (ANA) National Center for Nursing Quality (NCNQ ).
