SECTION I PART 1: FOUNDATIONAL HEALTH MEASURES General Health Status Refers to information that will inform the public health nurse and partners in the health initiative about the health of the population (. It is important to note that some of this information is not population focused such as self-assessed health status; however, this is an example of how public health nurses serve individuals in the community as well as the general population. item 3 NEW Public Health Nursing By Marie Truglio-Londrigan Book with Other Items -NEW Public Health Nursing By Marie Truglio-Londrigan Book with Other Items. Probably worst text that I have ever been forced to use. I have actually used google and papers the authors have written explaining items in their book, more than the actual text. They have an amazing article pertaining to the 7-A's online, wish they had included a better explanation in the book I was forced to buy.

This book is a fairly easy read with moderate length chapters and written with an engaging voice. Furthermore, the authors use applicable and important historical case studies rather than dry, hypothetical scenarios to reinforce concepts and convey the importance of public health nursing.
The chapter covering social epidemiology, however is lacking and my professor skipped that chapter entirely, supplementing it with her own information.

its ok, informative and easy read. Needed it for class but as long as you know what content to cover, you can find information elsewhere. ...

This book was required reading for a class. After reading the first two chapters, I really didn't need it anymore.

very clean. loved it

loved it i mean. I am a registered nurse now so I could say that this helped me get there
The book has many scenarios and anecdotes. It reads more like a history and a reference book rather than a teaching book.
