It was written, I am proud to say, by Dr Arthur Guyton and his colleague Dr John Hall, both associated with my hospital, the University of Mississippi Medical Center. In eighth grade, my science class took a field trip to the medical center, and one of the guides asked us if we knew that one of the most famous scientists in the world worked in that very building. Of course, none of us had a clue.
This is a particularly helpful text to use in "putting the pieces together" in disease processes. Guyton, John E. Hall. Dr. Guyton - the premier author on human physiology - and new co-author John E. Hall revise and update this popular classic!
