Had to purchase this book my general psychology class in college, this book is absolutely wonderful. there is tests twice each chapter to make sure you know what you are doing and uses simple language that makes it easy to understand. As well as shows a lot of examples.

The book is in pretty bad condition. It's a softcover textbook. The front and back cover was ripped and torn, stains on many of the pages and I found someone's paycheck in the book, which included their name, address, social security number and other personal information. It's pretty careless to send books to people without checking the pages first. I also had to wash my hands every time I handled the book because it was filthy. I guess it still beats paying full price for the book. One of my classmates used Chegg and got both the hardcopy and the digital version of the book for the same exact price. I would definitely consider Chegg the next time around.

This was such a great textbook for my intro to psych class! It was very engaging and kept me interested in the topics and I really liked the real life examples it provided. Loved it!

It was required for my psych class. I don't care for the authors style. Seems quite outdated. I am aware this is an edition older than what is current, but the current book is almost identical, like side by side, the images and words were 95% the same. I wouldn't pay for the new one. I wish that they would have all the definitions at the top of the page for quick access, and more modern images. Just overall disappointed.

The condition of the book however was top notch. So if you have to get this book for your class, I recommend this edition.

AMAZING BOOK. I had an intro to psychology class in BYU-Provo and we used this book. It is amazing how well structured this is. The information is very extensive but not wordy. It goes into a lot of different things regarding to psychology, but it is understandable for a intro-student. I was very happy with the book. I actually kept it, because it really is that interesting (rather than selling it back.) It goes into a lot of behavior studies, anatomy, statistics, and a lot more. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to know what psychology is all about.

Usually, when you have to purchase a text for a course, you may not always love it, but this text was interesting, and, dare I write it, almost fun. The course that I took was one of the more interesting courses that I have taken. In the end, this text and course worked well, and I would recommend this text.
Bought a used one and thought it was gonna be like a book book but it was the book with hole punches. Not even connected like a book so I had to buy a binder to put it in. And some of the paper had hole punches that were ripped so I couldn't put it in the binder correctly. kinda a hassle, but it was cheap so i can manage
