The fifth book from bestselling author and specialist foster carer Casey Watson.

Casey (and her whole family) go way beyond the norm of foster carers. This little girl was forced into adulthood before she was 5 yrs old. It was not her moms fault due to her poor and declining heath. You hear so many horror stories in this country of the abuse children get at the hands of their carers Casey goes above and beyond with the children in her care. I just wished friends and family knew what this mom and her daughter were going though so they could of stepped forward alot sooner.

Ten-year-old Abigail has never known her father. It’s an emergency, after all – and all that’s needed is a loving temporary home, while social services look into how to support the family so that they can be reunited.

But it soon becomes clear that this isn’t going to happen. Sarah’s MS is now at a very advanced stage, and the doctors are certain that there will no longer be periods of remission. Abigail’s emotional state starts to spiral out of control as she struggles to let go of the burden of responsibilities she has carried for so long.

Sarah and Abigail insist that they do not need help, but with no other family to contact, social services are left with no choice but to find long-term care for Abigail, against their wishes. But Casey never gives up on a child in need, and she knows there must be another solution…

Casey (and her whole family) go way beyond the norm of foster carers. You hear so many horror stories in this country of the abuse children get at the hands of their carers. Thats not to say we dont have hundreds of wonderful foster parents, but the public tends to hear of the sad stories.. Casey goes above and beyond with the children in her care. She has had some of the most challenging cases in her home and has turned these little lives around. Abby wasnt without her issues either.. having to deal with a child with severe OCD would perplex even the most experienced carer. What I love about the Watson family, is they are not all that dissimilar from families here in America. We may be thousands of miles apart, but really not far apart at all.

This is one of Casey Watson's better books. It deals with a child who has become caretaker to her ill mother but is now in care. Casey is able to find out that SPOILER* Abigail does indeed have another relative who is more than willing to help this family. Abigail and her mother are secretive about their situation but there is a happy ending. Casey writes a good tale of her foster care experiences in most of her books; some I have not enjoyed, but this one was unusual in its details and was well-written. I liked it

This is the second book that I've read written by Casey Watson. As in the first one I had a hard time putting this one down as well. In reading these my heart goes out to Casey and her family as they deal with the trials and tribulations of being foster carers. It makes me appreciate the work that goes into taking care of children in the system. Not only here but abroad as well

I am unable to say whether I enjoyed this book or not because it reminds me of my own childhood when I was growing up. The only thing that I can say is that you need to read it for yourself to get your own opinion.

Loved this book just as much as the rest of them. My parents were foster carers so this genre is really intresting to me. It was nice that this one was a little different than the norm, I highly recommend it.

I have read all of Casey's books available and already pre-ordered her next book. An amazing woman and author. I admire her and people like her for the work they do to help children that have been given up on due to the damage done to them. The the work they do is with much love and a never give up attitude. God bless you Casey.

I loved that this story had a happy ending. What I hated about this story was the abuse this poor child had to go though. This little girl was forced into adulthood before she was 5 yrs old. It was not her moms fault due to her poor and declining heath. I just wished friends and family knew what this mom and her daughter were going though so they could of stepped forward alot sooner
I love Casey's books. Always a good read.
