We're using this to help our oldest brush up on her writing. She isn't a bad writer, but she dislikes writing. She balks at many regular writing assignments from school as empty busy work. This book is rather open ended. It allows the student to pick meaningful topics to write about. We're about 1/3 through and she's doing so well, in a few weeks we may just skip to the next book on essays.

Very simple, step-by-step guide. The layout allowed my son, who is intimidated by writing, to quickly grasp the format of the paragraph. I would definitely recommend this guide.

My child has dysgraphia and I am working with him on each of these workbooks to remediate areas of challenge. He feels good about his ability to be successful with accomplishing a few pages of this workbook each day and I feel like I am helping him solidify basic skills.
