I love BE LOVE NOW. I feel closer to my own Guru, Babaji, than I have felt in years. We can be in love without anyone ever loving us back. The heart-mind is who we are, not the ego, the ego is a bundle of constantly changing thought-forms and ideas with identifications.

I love BE LOVE NOW. The western psychological premise is that we are the mind. But the union of yoga is when the constellation of thought-forms cease.

In Be Love Now, Ram Dass shows us the way to unconditional spiritual love through personal anecdotes .

In Be Love Now, Ram Dass shows us the way to unconditional spiritual love through personal anecdotes, deep insights, and stories. Ram Dass tracks the stages of his own awakening, translating states of consciousness as he so ably does, starting with his days as Harvard psychologist and psychedelic in-venturer and continuing through his encounter with his guru, his struggles, and perspectives on his visionary experiences. With wry humor Ram Dass takes us through pitfalls on the path and paints a view of what an actual state of enlightenment might be like.

This is a beautifully written book. Ram Dass is an amazing writer and an even more amazing human being. His spiritual teachings have inspired me for more than 40 years. This is his very best book and I have all of them.

Just like Be Here Now, Ram Dass gets across the message to be in the moment and love everyone through entertaining stories of his guru and other notable Indian saints/yogis as well as religious deities.

If you are interested in the Path, you cannot go wrong with Ram Dass.

I knew Ram Dass back in the 60’s when he was Richard Alpert and he, Ralph Metzner and Tim Leary were experimenting with and recommending LSD at Harvard. That was before he went to India and met his guru. This book is a lovely, articulate description of the transformative benefits of having a personal connection with a highly evolved, possibly enlightened teacher. That part really resonates with me because my own life changed unimaginably for the better after meeting someone enlightened.
By remarkable synchronicity on April 29, 2002 I met Dave Oshana. On that day and since the changes continue, very much as Ram Dass describes with his teacher. I stopped being angry and did not need to meditate because meditation would happen spontaneously. Loving those around me is now effortless. Interestingly and in contrast to many spiritual teachers Dave Oshana has not adopted Hindu names, fashion or manners, since he is after all just a London lad and yet all the benefits Ram Dass describes in Be Love Now and much more can be directly and easily experienced around him.

Just a great book!

Many of us know Ram Dass from the early 1970's. His writings and teachings resonated with our own inner quest for spirituality. Ram Dass spoke openly from his heart about psychedelics and the teachings of different spiritual teachers including his guru Neem Karoli Baba. His book Be Here Now (1970) became both a spiritual resource book and the title a mantra for a generation.

Ram Dass next pivotal book Still Here (2000) embraced aging, changing and dying - topics of special interest to spiritual boomers. This book followed Ram Dass' stoke in 1997 and includes an insightful chapter called "Stroke Yoga."

In Be Love Now (2010), Ram Dass retells many stories of time with his guru and from the early 1970s. Very little of the book discusses more recent life after his stroke - and that is why I was disappointed with the book.

I heard most of Ram Dass' guru stories over the years and wanted to hear more from the older Ram Dass. He does write "my inner work has become more reflective. I've taken up contentment as a theme. Contentment is a good model for an aging person like myself. Bringing a soul perspective to aging is one thing I can contribute now." Unfortunately, the book does not expand on these sentences.

People will read Be Love Now for many reasons. Some will enjoy the teachings of love from Ram Dass' guru - teachings when Ram Dass was younger (around 40). Many of us are older now and seek guidance from an older perspective...

Classic Ram Dass. An easy read, but a lifetime of practice.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I feel like I understand how bhakti yoga works and the roles of guru and devotee so much better than I did before. The tales of Maharaji are very entertaining and not likely to be forgotten soon. I enjoy the accounts of other Hindu saints as well. This book came along just when I needed it. It could be a life changing book to one who is at a certain point in their journey.
