The Sorceress of Belmair book. I have always enjoyed the World of Hetar books by Bertrice Small. Very romantic and quite steamy, these fantasy books never let me down

The Sorceress of Belmair book. Very romantic and quite steamy, these fantasy books never let me down. Belmair, the new world that is introduced to the readers, includes a new cast of characters including a dragon and a group of mermaids. With the help of older characters, like Kaliq, and Lara's mother and brother, the magical team uses all their strengths and tricks to accomplish their goals.

New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author and master of romance Bertrice Small transports readers to the magical, sensual realm of Hetar. A past awakene. agic coursing through his blood, Dillon, son of the Domina of Hetar, follows his path to the forgotten world of Belmair. Summoned to marry the king’s daughter and inherit the throne, Dillon discovers Belmair is beautiful, enigmatic and seductive-as is his strong-willed new queen. What’s more, Hetar’s brightest star may hold the key to his people’s lost heritage-and his heart.

The fourth book in the World of Hetar series, 2008. But he was leaving his world in even poorer condition than he had inherited it. He knew what needed to be done, but he had never quite been able to bring himself to do it. For all those readers who love Lara and her world. THE OLD KING of Belmair was coming to the end of his days. He sensed it. And as he had lived over eight hundred years it did not seem to him like such a great matter.

Cinnia, sorceress of Belmair, expected to claim her rightful place as ruler, not as the wife of a stranger from a faraway land. But the enchantment that seals their marriage of power and greatness does more than soothe her wounded pride

Cinnia, sorceress of Belmair, expected to claim her rightful place as ruler, not as the wife of a stranger from a faraway land. But the enchantment that seals their marriage of power and greatness does more than soothe her wounded pride. It allows her to use her magical gifts to uncover a passion she never dared to dream o. nd the darkest secret of a mystical land. Small's newest novel is a sexily fantastical romp.

The sorceress needed a husband, and Belmair needed a new king. He turned to the faerie queen. We know that all the books and histories referring to magic in Belmair are within that room. I spoke with the dragon myself, and she agreed that Dillon was the answer. The sorceress needed a husband she could not intimidate although if the truth be known the dragon could teach her little, and Cinnia, for that is her name, can only do simple sorcery. It is the true history of Hetar to which she refers, Kaliq explained. Oh, of course I know that, Ilona said. Only Cirillo can find that door, and we need to find it if we are to learn the kinds of magic that once existed in Belmair.

The story of Hetar has been a wonderful forray in to the mystical. Although, much preferring Small's historical genius, I have fallen in love with Lara. I felt that this book was perhanps more prepatory for the next than the first books? To me the devotion of an entire book to one of her offspring, when Lara's destiny is yet to unforld seemed out of place. Unlike other series of Ms. Small's books, the "Matriarch" was pushed to the side and her offspring highlighted before she had completed her "destiny." If this is an intregal book of information, I think it would have been better to incorporate this story line in with that of Lara's a little more evenly. However.... it stands by itself and is full of wonderous characters, beautiful romances accross races, (species?) and set in a world of wonder and awe. I was captivated by the new characters and the development of her brother in the story line. I would definitey suggest this book to others as a must read. Keep on Bertrice Small! You surely are the Queen of romance!

As much as I love Bertrice Small as an author I find myself struggling with this series. Normally every book I've read by her would get a 5 star rating. I love fantasy and the story line is really great but at times I feel as though it is an afterthought thrown in after yet another sex scene. Obviously sex scenes don't bother me or Bertrice Small wouldn't be one of my favorite authors. It just seems as though they are the major part of this series and the story line is suffering because of it.

Will still purchase the next one in the series but I doubt I will be rereading this series over the years as I have done with all of her historical romances.

Small never fails to deliver no mater the Genre. She had that knack that no one can duplicate. I will keep every book she wrote, on my shlf to re-read over and over again. Thank you Ms Small for your generous contribution to my education in Romance, History, Ottoman Empire, English royalty, in days gone by and for just being able to keep me turning your pages, one after another and praying the book would never end!

This is book four in the World of Hetar series. It was impossible to find in book stores so I ordered it off Amazon. The book arrived in good condition and well within the delivery deadline.

The book starts out sort of slow but gradually picks up. I wasn't too fond of it as it sort of deviates from the main plot that's been going on in the series. "Sorceress" focuses mainly on Lara's oldest son Dillion instead of the plot-line that's been taking place over the three previous books. It was a good book but I would have saved this particular plot until the main plot concerning Lara's destiny and the fate of Hetar and Terah was finished. I feel it takes away from the main purpose of the series.

I JUST LOVE THIS SERIES OF FAIRY FANTASY! I Never thought that I would read "adult" fairytales but...that is exactly what I have been reading! The adventures ARE EXCITING & the SEX IS OOOOH SOOO GOOD without being pornographic! Bertrice Small must have had some great romance in her life to be able to write so knowingly! A++++ I can't wait to start the next book in the series.
