Miner in Petticoats, was an excellent read. The story was exciting, romantic, and mysterious. Miner In Petticoats was a delightful read. It was filled with adventure, mystery, romance and action. Surprisingly it varied a lot from the others in this series. I loved the way an incident towards the end, set the stage for the next book in sequel, Doctor in Petticoats. I would have liked to see a little more of Gil, Darcy, Zeek, and Maeve from Marshal in Petticoats and Outlaw in Petticoats in this novel. Especially, Gil & Darcy, since I recall them only being an hour or so away.

Shouldering the burdens of his family and the mining community, Ethan Halsey devotes himself to providing for the growing families of his brothers. However, Aileen Miller, a widow, also looking out for her family's interests, refuses to part with the land he needs. As they battle-one to push his dream to reality and the other to prove no man will hurt her again-their lives become enmeshed and their hearts collide.

Miner in Petticoats, was an excellent read. The story was exciting, romantic, and mysterious.

I loved the way an incident towards the end, set the stage for the next book in sequel, Doctor in Petticoats.

I would have liked to see a little more of Gil, Darcy, Zeek, and Maeve from Marshal in Petticoats and Outlaw in Petticoats in this novel. Especially, Gil & Darcy, since I recall them only being an hour or so away.

This time the oldest Halsey brother gets caught in the net by dealing with a widow and 2 young children. Aileen was working her dead husbands claim, barely getting by and being snubbed by the town as being the killing widow. Ethan needed
to build on her land and immediately her circumstances affected him. Aileen resisted, but her daughter loved him and
he dug his way into her heart and her life by his kindness and willingness to make her life easier.
They circle around each other the entire novel, her resisting and he getting grief from her son and his brothers.
A good window into life of the miner and families around the played out gold mines in Oregon and the people who lived and loved around them.

I liked this book much better than the Outlaw in petticoat. This was a wonderful love story about an abused widow and her children and how a love developed. I really enjoyed reading this sweet love story and the sexuality in there was great.

I really enjoyed this book, except for the sexual content. It was a good story, and I feel that the explicit sex was unnecessary to the telling of the tale.

I enjoyed this book and am thankful I trudged through the first few pages. One of the main characters has an accent (Irish/Scottish) which made it a little difficult to read at first, but once you get through the first bit it is much easier to follow. This was a great story....I loved it!

Miner In Petticoats was a delightful read. It was filled with adventure, mystery, romance and action. Surprisingly it varied a lot from the others in this series.

I had to give her kudos for her warmth and strength. I don't know if I would have had the courage, and will power to do this.
