Pennebaker seems like a warm, compassionate man -- the kind of person you would like to be your therapist. His description of his research is interesting, with a great deal of detail, but also easy for a layperson to grasp. I have followed his guidelines and done writing as he recommends and I found it does help with healing. I highly recommend this book.
