Daniel Edward Reeves (born January 19, 1944) is a former American football running back and coach in the National Football League (NFL). Over the course of his 38 years in the NFL, Reeves participated in a combined nine Super Bowls as player and coach, the second-most in league history behind Bill Belichick's eleven. He served as a head coach for 23 seasons, primarily with the Denver Broncos and the Atlanta Falcons. As a player, he spent the entirety of his eight-season career with the Dallas Cowboys.

Reeves: An Autobiography by Dan Reeves is a reasonably interesting book. As well as coaching more than one National Football League team Reeves has shown interests in other sports as well, so pretty impressive to get all that sort of thing done. He does evince some fairly strong opinions about his career and what happened, which is good in this sort of book.

Dan Reeves is one of the top coaches in the American National Football League.

Reeves, a good old boy from Georgia who began his professional football career as a running back with the Dallas Cowboys, lacks all the ng personality-that make a compelling autobiography. His memory is weak, his attachment to facts and the truth rigid, and his straight-potato view of life puts a sleeper hold on his life story.

I REALLY LIKED THIS BOOK BY FORMER NFL PLAYER AND HEAD COACH DAN REEVES. I REMEMBER HIM AS A HALF BACK WITH THE COWBOYS. HE WAS A GOOD ALL AROUND PLAYER WHO WOULD BLOCK, RUN, RECEIVE AND THROW A BEAUTIFUL HALF BACK OPTION PASS. AFTER KNEE INJURIES SHORTENED HIS CAREER, HE BECAME AN ASSISTANT COACH UNDER THE MASTER, TOM LANDRY. GAINING MORE AND MORE EXPERIENCE AND SUCCESS, HE BECAME HEAD COACH OF THE BRONCOS. DAN LEAD THEM TO 3 SUPER BOWLS BUT WINNING NONE. HE LATER WENT TO ATLANTA AND TOOK THEM TO ONE SUPER BOWL BUT AGAIN LOSING. DAN IS ALSO A CHRISTIAN AND HE SHARES HIS BELIEFS AND EXPERIENCES WITH JESUS. IF YOU LIKE READING ABOUT THE COWBOYS OF THE 1960'S AND 70'S AND THE BRONCOS OF THE 80'S THIS IS A GREAT READ.

I have grown up a Cowboy fan. One of the earliest football memories I have is Dan Reeves throwing his touchdown pass in the ice bowl. I was eight years old. He became a player coach and then an assistant coach. And either played or coached in five Super Bowls for the Cowboys. He became head coach of the Denver Broncos and led them to three Super Bowls. Although they lost all three in blowouts. After this book was written he was coach for Atlanta and lost another Super Bowl to Denver. Then coached against the Cowboys for the New York Giants. He was successful in everything but the Super Bowl. But really never had the best team. As a player, an assistant and a head coach he was a combined 2-7 in Super Bowls. Which is a record in itself. And if you look at his record he lost more games then any coach in history. Although recently fired Jeff Fisher may have broken that.
When you read this book. Like his mentor Tom Landry. He was a good Christian whose faith and family came before football. I think this is a good book and I liked it.

Very good read. The book told the story of Dan's life very well. I was able to read this book in a timely fashion.
