As Skip Bayless writes, Jerry Jones' decision to keep Jimmy Johnson out of the Dallas Cowboys' Ring of Honor is based on real history and not the result of a petty grudge. In Jones' shoes, I probably would have. No man should have to put up with the mean-spirited humiliation Jimmy often inflicted on Jerry in front of front-office staffers, assistant coaches and players.

He told Sports Illustrated’s Richard Deitsch that Bayless, who’s now his coworker at Fox, is neither talented, respected, nor credible. Talk about a thin book. There just isn't much of interest in the book unless you happen to actually know these two guys.

The review above me is the reason I wish Amazon moderated their book reviews more carefully. This individual didn't read the book just used this platform to slander a large group of people.

That out of the way this was a great book. Very solid writing from someone who was there throughout the era. Skip knows his Cowboys like the back of his hand and this book shows it. Good stuff

Skip is not a real sportswriter, and never will be. He is an ESPN pawn, drumming up controversy after controversy for ratings. It makes sense he's a Cowboys fan - because he is a waste of human flesh like all other Dallas fans. Enjoy reading about the past. Your dynasty is over.
