I still say that the McDougal Littel math textbooks are among the best high school math textbooks I've come across -- they're not perfect, but the way they've ordered and explained their material, the way they've embedded decent challenge problems, etc is all very well-done.

That said, this is more of an average-ish geometry workbook/practice book, as far as those go. It's useful (and very useful in conjunction with the textbook) but it's more of a useful add-on to an already-good textbook than a useful standalone or a stellar geometry workbook.

Great, practical book to learn geometry. Cost of book is very reasonable. I gave it a 4 stars because it didn't have answers at the back of the book.

Not a very good textbook if you are looking to review or refresh what you know on the subject. There are not a lot of answers provided at the end of the book, it is written at a very low level, and is quite focused on multiple choice testing options (but does not provide answers for any of these). On the whole it is a great book if you are in the 6th or 7th grade range and looking for very simple explanations and a bit of extra practice. Otherwise, the book is very simplistic, does not delve into topics very deeply, and just does not have enough answers to the problems to make it an effective aid for self-directed learning.

CAME IN FAST TIME. WAS WHAT THE TEACHER ORDERED AND MY SON IS DOING REALLY GOOD IN GEOMETRY. HE USUSALLY STRUGGLES IN MATH. WHEN HE'S DOING HIS HOMEWORK AND IS HAVING A HARD TIME AND I CAN'T HELP HIM, HE USES THE STEPS GUID IN THIS WORKBOOK AND IT HAS NEARLY ALWAYS HELPED HIM OUT.
